IP Telephony  Project

Telephone System now LIVE!!!

A new Phone system for the Ealing Campus

The University has completed a major project which involves replacing the existing telephone systems used at St Mary’s Road and Walpole House and all other Ealing based buildings.

The new telephone installation will provide support for newer technologies and is already deployed at Paragon House. The new system is manufactured by Alcatel-Lucent and is commonly known as an IP Telephony System.

Many of you will already be familiar with the system as it is already used at Paragon House and other buildings within the University including Fountain House and Walpole House for LAC and clearing areas

At the Ealing Campus, we will be able to benefit from the latest developments in network and communications technology.

During the 1st week proceeding go live (Monday 30th April), there will inevitably be some confusion and problems in use of the new handsets and general telephone system but we will endeavour to resolve your issue as soon as we can,

The new installation at Ealing will provide greater resilience, support for new technologies and enhanced functionality. Please therefore bear with us throughout the post implementation stage as it will be worth it in the end.
