Self-service Password Reset

STAGE 2:  RESETTING YOUR PASSWORD

 

2.  HOW TO RESET YOUR PASSWORD
 
Browse to the following https://mypassword.uwl.ac.uk
 
2.1. First Password Reset Screen
 
Please enter your Student username and click the <Next> button

For students this will be student\studentId# (eg student\21209508)

 
2.2. Second Password Reset Screen
 
Please enter the answers to the 3 questions as per the registration process. This will be used verify your identity when resetting your password. Please click the <Next> button when complete.

2.3. Third Password Reset Screen
 
The mobile phone verification will be sent to your mobile phone you entered during the registration process. The security code which will be contained on the mobile phone will be valid for 2 hours before it expires.
An example of SMS from the UWL service is shown in Figure: 2.3.2.
Please enter your security code and click the <Next> button.

2.4. Fourth Password Reset Screen
 
Please enter and re-enter your new password. Click the <Next> button

2.5. Fifth Password Reset Screen
 
Your password has now been reset.

You will need to use your new password to access IT resources at UWL, eg, logging into PC/MAC workstations, accessing email, Blackboard and the Portal.
​NOTE:
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU CHANGE THE PASSWORD SAVED ON ANY MOBILE DEVICE THAT YOU HAVE CONFIGURED TO ACCESS YOUR EMAIL NOW!! (OTHERWISE YOUR ACCOUNT MAY BE LOCKED OUT AS YOUR DEVICE ATTEMPTS TO LOGIN USING YOUR OLD PASSWORD)
